Presentation at 18th Wind Integration Workshop

Christine Michalek gave a presentation with the topic "Modeling of Wind Energy Converters for Maximum Power Point Tracking and Mitigation of Frequency Variations" at the 18th Wind Integration Workshop. The presentation was part of the session introducing the results of EU Horizon 2020 project MIGRATE. The 18th Wind Integration Workshop was held in Dublin, Ireland, 16 to 18 October 2019.

The conference ISGT Europe 2019 focused on the topic "New Business for Energy Transition" and was held in Bucharest, Romania, between 29 September and 2 October 2019. Christine Michalek represented SENSE during the panel session discussing the results of EU Horizon 2020 project MIGRATE and gave a presentation. She also co-hosted a workshop for EU Horizon 2020 project SMAGRINET, which discussed competences, knowledge and skills needed for the smart grid energy transition.

General Meeting of FUSE Project at SENSE Lab

For the two-day general meeting of the FUSE project all the partners, including ABB Finland, visited the SENSE Smart Grid Laboratory on 8 and 9 August 2019. They were delighted to learn about the lab’s capabilities in terms of power system analysis.

Poster presentation at "3. Jahrestreffen Forschungsnetzwerk Energiesystemanalyse"

Samuel Schilling from SENSE gave a poster presentation at the "3. Jahrestreffen Forschungsnetzwerk Energieanalyse". The meeting took place on 23 and 24 May 2019 at RWTH Aachen. The topic "Multi-Scale Modeling and Simulation of Power Transmission Systems" included interim results of the project "EchtEWende: Echtzeitmodellbildung für die Energiewende" funded by the German Federal Ministry for Economic Affairs and Energy (BMWi).

SMAGRINET Project Meeting at Tallinn University of Technology

On 23 and 24 April 2019, the kickoff meeting of the project SMAGRINET took place in Tallinn, Estonia. The participants from Civitta, Eesti Elektritööstuse Liit, Loba, Kaunas University of Technology, Tallinn University of Technology, TU Dresden, Université de Lorraine, University of Ljubljana and TU Berlin discussed the project structure and current activities. SMAGRINET aims at creating a smart grid competence hub in energy research, innovation and education.
